We recommend lightening your hair to a level 9 or 10 (blonde) using our High-Lift Bleach Kit before applying your dye. Lightening your hair will create the perfect base for the metallic pigments to show up in all of their vibrancy. You can apply the dye to darker hair. However, the result will be more of a tonal purple shimmer.
